Mechanical Face Drivers - best suited for shafts & smaller diameters. Pins compensate and allow driving on square or slightly out of square faces. Dampens vibration with patented VDS System. Hydraulic Face Drivers - suited for shafts and larger diameter parts. 4 hydraulic chambers allow pins to compensate for out-of-square and even non-flat surfaces. Hydraulic supported drive pins allow for even more vibration dampening.

In the BRUCKNER face driver, the advantages of mechanical compensation are combined with the vibration damping of hydraulics. VDS - Vibration Damping System - prevents the driving pins from undue wear and tear, extends the life of the turning tools and protects the headstock bearings. High cutting forces are safely transmitted. |

BRUCKNER Hydraulic Face Drivers |

The Hydraulic equalization ensures that the geometric plane of the carrier teeth remains constant relative to the workpiece face, even if the chucking face is up to 7 mm out of square. Unequal centering depths are adjusted by the spring loaded centerpoint. The hydraulic action of the Face Driver ensures equalization of the driving pins with uneven production pieces. |
